about

In your shoes is the second album by Canadian rock outfit Starving Artists. Hailing from Barrie, Ontario, the band teamed up with producer “Fat” Andy to record their follow-up album to 2007’s Blend, which was recorded following their $10 000 first-place prize in an original music competition held through a local radio station. While staying true to their 1990’s indie rock sensibilities, the group has incorporated new elements of blues, R&B, and hard rock into their latest effort and features themes of highway travel, winter survival, declining relationships, and even parenthood. The band’s sound is one as diverse as its members; guitarist Tim Parker works as a butcher, Bassist Terry Ross is a specialized mechanic, drummer Matt “Brassy” Brass works in retail, and singer Jesse Muldoon teaches high school music. The quartet enjoys local success and continues to perform in both the Simcoe and Toronto areas.
